Last days in Fukuoka

Ohhhh I missed one day in my blog :-)
Yesterday it was school then I met Ayano my exchange partner!
We drunk a very hoto kokoa (hihi japanese)
And talked about many things!!
Since she is doing massage she gave me some oil!! Very nice :-)

After that I went to my favorite Onsen. On my way I met a Sumo, well they are normal guy having a life too :-)
Onsen was great as usual, and since outside it was raining, this is really nice to be in a hot bath. They put some yuzu (Japanese citrus) in the water, this was smelling nice!

After that dinner at the onsen :-)
Am I always the only white there? With a member card for sure :-)))))))

And now Today!!!!!

For lunch time we went (a group of Student) to have delicious udon, made in the restaurant, Oichi desu!!!!!
There are so many small and delicious restaurant everywhere!!!!

So yeah nothing special.

So I will put some pictures I took from Fukuoka before (Hey nobody says I have to follow the chronology!!!!):

This is the shopping arcade near the school. And this is a socks shop, where you can buy the socks with the finger, but only if you have small feet!!!!

I hate these crows, they are huge, everywhere and very noisy, bouhhhhh

Fukuoka is a big but human size city. But it has is car bridge :-)

This is a tower where you can admire the view for free, but on the day I went it was closed, I was not the only one sad…

Did  I told you that Fukuoka is near the sea?
No, ok well this is near the see. Where I live I am one block away from the see:-)
But not really to swim.
But it brings the humidity :-)

You can do some daily trips to some islands

They are big no?
Many of the fruits and vegetables in Japan are just enormous!!!

Today is a Tuesday :-)

Well since the sumo basho is finished I am returning back to a normal life :-)
So what is a normal life in Japan for me????

Go to school and eat of course!!!!!

So on Monday we had a test at school, 50 minutes, some vocabulary check and then some test (te form, short form, masu form, particle, questions,….).
Depending on the result of the test you stay at the same level or you go one level down.
The all test was in hiragana of course!!

So I have to say I had the best result from the all class, but I have done some mistakes where I have to say: Clarisse don't be so quick, because my test would have been even better!!!

But anyway since it was quite good :-) I am staying in the same class, but 2 of the classmate are going down….

And since we lost 2 persons in the class we had 2 new ones coming: 2  guys from Holland and Denmark.
And we continue with vocabulary and grammatical.
For those who knows : short form のが　すき　です or short form ことが　できます
and so one!!! Almost at the end of book one!!!!

For lunch I am going with 2 guys from another class, the photographer and a german guy, so we speak german (oh well still a foreign language).

Today we went to a cheap restaurant where you remove your shows and sit on the floor, I like it very much.
But I haven't taken pictures of that one, so I will show you some other pictures of food!!!!

This one is an small udon restaurant.
Udon are some pasta in a soup.

and in this restaurant you choose what you want inside.
Look at the tempura on the bar.
A very nice and local restaurant :-)
But everything is in Japanese, so not always easy :-)

Hey I still have to talk about sumos!!!

Looking at the thing I was thinking this is not working anymore.
But a few days ago I saw someone filling it
So this strange sake machine works!!!

Otherwise I can buy some beer!!!









Well after the school I went to buy another member card:-)
For an hotel where I will go, in Japan you have a lot of member card. You buy them, but mostly after one use you have your money back. These cards give a lot of discount, this is just great!!!!

And after back home to do the homework!!!

Ohh by the way did I mention that in Fukuoka we have 21 degrees today and sunny, so I wear only a t-shirt.
What about Europe??? Haha this is mean. I won't laugh in Mongolia!!!!!

Last day of the Basho

To start my day I went to 7/eleven to buy my breakfast and there is a game there. So I picked a card and I received a free beer :-)))

But after that direction Kokusai center for the last day of the basho.
In that day there are some special ceremonies, like these one, where you can see the best!

But after that business as usual!!
Kokkai concentrating before his fight. Well today and this basho was not the one :-(, next one will be better

When you look closely to some fight, you see how they push, that's so impressive

but not enough …
But Aoiyama, the 2nd Bulgarian, did very well in this basho

Kaisei pushing, but don't think that in this position this is 100% sure to win, I have seen many fights were the sumo manage to reverse the situation

and win. wouah, that's also something!!!
but same this basho was kind of bad...

ok my favorite you concentrate and you win this one please, not a 1-14!!!

Everybody's shouting in the stadium!!!!

Well the basho is finished and Hakuho won again…
Only one defeat: today against Baruto, that was just great, no photo and no throwing of cushions, in Fukuoka we can't do it, but in Tokyo yes (Throwing I mean not photos :-)).
But it was just great how the stadium has exploded when Baruto won :-)

So the winner receive a lot of trophies, from sponsor and regions from Japan.
Oh I forgot to tell that they play the japanese hymn in the stadium. everybody standing and singing, that's was beautiful, I loved it!!!

Today it was extremely hot in the stadium it was full!!!

yes, you have seen right, Hakuho in front a big coca cola bottle :-)
I has received one year free cola, hum, since he wins 4 times a year how many colas is he drinking ?????

These are special prices given to some sumos, because of their performance.
After that outside, Hakuho was doing a parade in a car. But this was kind of strange ….
But I went with a teacher from the school and 2 students to eat some chanko nabe (that's what the sumos are eating)

when went to a very traditional restaurant, with women in Kimono, separate rooms with tatami, just great!!!!!

Chanko nabe is a pot au feu, so we put all this in a pot.
Fish, meat (just chicken: why????? Because chicken stand on their 2 legs, nothing else is touching the ground, and that's what all sumo want :-)), vegetable.
But before that we had sashimis...

that's my bowl where I will receive the nabe. This is sesame inside.

For the fish they took one living one from an aquarium to prepare it so so fresh!!!

and that's the chanko nabe being prepared!!!!
This is just huge!!!!

and when we finished they put some rice in the pot and we had a risoto at the ned.
Then some kaki as desert. Oh my god I was dying I was so full!!!!
But it was just great!!

some sumos went to this place, that's their signature.
And guess how much I paid for this luxury dinner?


Like 30 chf :-)

Another day at the Basho

Thanks to a student at school, who is also photographer, I have received some tips for my photos. And the result is just great!!!!!

I like this sumo because of his hair.
They can not have so different things, but they always managed to be different!

I am always impressed by this one. That's one of the reason why Tochinoshin is my favorite

The fight vs Homasho was also very intense since both are also doing very bad in this basho

I really thought that Gagamaru could win, but Homasho has reversed the situation

The disappointment from Gagamaru was so big.
This is very rare to see such emotion, since the sumos shouldn't show anything, no joyce, no anger

After that I went to the onsen, I wanted to try at night.
I was in my favorite floor. This was just great, cold outside, warm in the bath :-)

After I had dinner there, it was so full I was very surprised!!
I had some french fries with meat and a big orange juice :-)

And then back home, quite late …..
