So we left Seoul very early in the morning, direction Daegeon.
We took again the tgv heu sorry the ktx, just one hour to go :-)
And then it was a run to find the hotel in order after to catch a train to visit another city.
Unfortunately this was not so clear where the hotel was, so it took us very long so we missed the train …
But since we have the rail pass we don't loose money, so that's ok.
So we went to the counter to exchange the ticket, but there …well… a bit complicated.
We had 2 tickets to go visit the cemetery from king, but I just gave one back, this was still valid.
The girl at the counter was confused, she didn't understand, we also wanted to go in the first connection city now and wait there instead of waiting where we are (bigger city).
But it was too much for her…
So she asked us to go on their private office, and there 3 guys where calling somebodies for our tickets, but the train was leaving.
Nobody explain us what the problem was.
So I start to get nervous, asking what the problem is.
Nobody could explain and the train was leaving soon.
Then another guy with a better english came, asking me if I have the other train ticket. I said yes, but this is no more valid, but this was the key!!
After that they re-issue the tickets, but we missed the 1st train.
Well that's life :-)
In the train we had some gimbap, this is the korean sushi.
Inside some radish, vegetables and surimi.
It was good, but big portion !!!
And then we came to Gyeongju.
This one was funny, his teethes are funny, that's why he is smiling :-)
Here you can sell your hair.
So that's the cemetery we visited. This was at the time of the Silla kingdom.
There are many tombs of kings, keens and royal member.
But it was possible only to visit one tomb.
So in this tumulus is the tomb.
They fund a lot of gold and jewelers.
I especially like the color: this yellow (this remember me Georgia colors)
And when there are 2 like that it means one is the king and the 2nd is the queen.
They also explain us that this was a custom that the member of the family committed suicided when the king was dying...
The place was called the celeste horse this is because they found some remaining of an horse.
You see all the tombs there???
So many and most of them are still intact.
scary no???
And for the dinner: Japanese, this is cheap and good!!
We have eaten mainly japanese in Korea :-)
Well except the barbecue I am not so fan from korean food.
